In 2016, Dania, a vibrant individual from Honduras, and Florian, a charming Dutch gentleman, crossed paths at the renowned Cannes Festival. Their chance encounter amidst the glamour of the event set the stage for an extraordinary love story that would unfold over the years. Fast forward to the post-lockdown era in Dubai, where Dania and Florian unexpectedly reconnected, rekindling the spark that had initially drawn them together. In a thrilling six-month journey of non-stop collaboration, creative brainstorming sessions and an endless stream of Zoom meetings, the trio – Florian, Dania, and Barbara from Barbara Murguia Event Studio – embarked on an unforgettable adventure through Southern Italy’s picturesque landscapes. As Barbara aptly put it, the chemistry among them was nothing short of magic, forging a bond that proved to be an unbeatable force.
The Theme
The theme’s brilliance and design were a tribute to the surroundings, born from a desire to create something exquisite that seamlessly blends with diverse locations. Each setting highlights the essence of love, a constant motif woven throughout the vision. This is exemplified by Florian’s thoughtful proposal to Dania in January, which marked the beginning of months-long planning process undertaken with meticulous precision.
The result is a harmonious union of form and function, where every detail serves as a testament to the beauty of the theme.
The Venue
As their journey reached its pinnacle, the universe seemed to conspire in their favor. A chance encounter led them to discover the ideal setting for their celebration – La Fortezza, a 15th-century castle perched atop olive groves overlooking the picturesque Savelletri coast. This meticulously restored venue, steeped in history and elegance, became the perfect backdrop for their high-fashion destination event.
The lush landscape and rich heritage of Puglia, Italy, provided an idyllic setting for their special day. The images captured by renowned photographers Jorge Braud and Ksenia Semenikhin beautifully encapsulate the romance and grandeur of this unforgettable experience.
